These hemostats come in three different sizes: 6 1/4", 8" and 12"*. They have locking serrated jaws for a non slip grip and blunt tips which make them perfect for grabbing a garment to do the spiral tie dye! And if you have a really hungry baby komodo dragon that you need to feed and you find you're running out of fingers, the 12" would be the perfect tool. In any case, get your hemo...stat!
*The smallest ones are best for delicate silk and other lighter fabrics, the 8" are sturdier, and the 12" will work on your thickest tees or sweats, even if heavy with Soda Ash already. Use care when working on lighter weight or delicate fabrics. These tools have been adopted by dyers but may not work in every tie-dyer's situation so as with any new tool, TEST them first to be sure they will work for you. **Not recommended for use on wet rayon. Rayon is weak when wet, and may not hold up to hemostats or pliers or other rough jawed instruments when doing spiral tie-dye techniques.
