Dye-Na-Flow is photo-sensitive!
Placing objects onto the wet paint and exposing to sunlight will develop patterns into the painting. Silk Salt can also be used with Dye-Na-Flow for added effect.

Hi I used these as a summer project for myself and my 9 yr. old granddaughter. We had a wonderful time with this kit and it taught my granddaughter about the color wheel. I liked it so much I ordered more hoops and paint. I am a retired art teacher.

Just had a class with 12 students and used this kit for the first time. The gold gutta was horrible too liquidy the students just produced blobs. The gutta would have never lasted for one suncatcher. Replaced it immediately with Pebeo gold gutta which gave very satisfactory results. The lines were more manageable. Sumi brushes: Some of the brushes came off of the bamboo stick. Some silk hoops were not properly glued. It's OK to use but you MUST have replacement gutta replacement sumi brushes and replacement hoops to satisfy your students. They need to get what they pay for!

The product arrived in a timely fashion and contained the materials required to introduce me to silk painting. I used it with my 8 year old granddaughter and she enjoyed it. fyi the silk is glued onto the hoop and still had a stickiness to it. I am an inexperienced silk painter but would recommend the kit as an introduction to the art.

My grandkids and I did 3 sun catchers and they had fun. I was going to use one in an art class but was warned to stitch the silk to the hoop because when dyes were washed out the glue also washed out. I haven't tried that yet.

I absolutely loved trying out dye na flow with this kit! I plan on buying different colors and silk hoops separately next time because the brushes were not particularly special and as others have said the gutta did not work properly. I tried to shake the bottle vigorously to mix it so it would be not be so runny but eventually I could not even get it to come out of the bottle. This is a great kit to try dyenaflow but it may be better to purchase the dye and hoops separately.

The Gouda was lumpy I even took it out of bottle to try to mix it up but it was coagulated and really not usable. I was using the hoops to practice on as silk painting is a new experience I liked the hoops and the dyes were nice. I feel like I got my money's worth. I have since purchased tubes of water based gutta and like it a lot. I am awaiting silk from India to make my first scarf. I would have given a 5 if the gutta flowed properly. Your service is excellent very fast. I would recommend your company and will be a customer again. Beth

Great product to try your skills on and the finished painted product looks amazing too. It's a good way to try the techniques and discover how to use gutta before using it on a bigger project.. I love all the products I bought at dharma it's a great company with an amazing customer service and excellent products quality! I'll continue to buy regularly....
