For silk painting this is a great dye (paint) for beginners. The paints mix well dry fast and work great with the silk salt technique. Because they are paints and not dyes they don't require "fixing" so the color is permanent when it dries. This is great for workshops or retreats. However although the colors are lovely they are not as intense as silk dyes that must be "fixed".

Dye-na-Flow is my favorite cotton paint. I have tried Seta Color and it sits on top of the fabric. Dye-na-flow if like dying with a brush. It doesn't change the hand of the fabric mixes perfectly with water....terrific stuff!

I enjoy the ease of setting these colors with an iron. They do lose a lot of their brilliance after setting and washing but they work well for designs that do not require deep colors.

i have not used thisi used Jacquard fluorescent paint setno one told me that one was all colored water.--It ruined the item I was painting--be careful--if it "flows"be careful because a lot of the paint now is water and transparent.--The only possible thing you could use would be heavy silk.--and then keep painting it over.--I do not like all these very thin paints because they are getting so they don't show up on fabric on painting.--Mine was a disaster because it was light cotton that took other paint very wellI don't know WHAT PAINT is thick enough to not completely sink into the fabric.--its only supposed to sink in half way.Now I have to find other brand of paint that's not so darn thin.--db
