Cotton Spandex 60"

i love this stuff!! great feel and body for tops. (a little light for bottoms for my taste). it doesn't curl like many knits. i just ordered another 10 yards.

Good quality excellent stretch and recovery but not quite as heavy as I'd expected. Beefs up a little with washingtumble dry but not much.

Nice soft feel after washinglike heavy tee-shirt. I think it will be opaque enough for yoga pants when it's dyed. I can't wait to paint and dye it.

This is my favorite weight knit fabric for skirts. I have 2 maxi skirts and just dyed some yardage for a maxi dress. The fabric takes dye beautifully and the fabric is opaque.

I love this fabric.....BUT....although it says PFD you really need to do your own. I usually just sew this fabric as is (a white or black garment) but I couldn't find colours that I liked in other fabric stores so I decided to buy a bunch of this cotton lycra and dye it myself. At first I thought the problem was the Procion dyes. It was not - they're great and I highly recommend them. This fabric needs some sort of pre-treatment before dyeing it. I think Dharma does sell something for this. I was very disappointed when the shirts I made came out streaky and blotchy. The colours were beautiful and I was determined to wear these shirts because they turned out so nicely and I adore this fabric. I tried re-dyeing them in a bigger tub and stirring them for almost the whole hour. After washing and drying the shirts I was happy to see that this mostly worked and the remaining blotchy spots are nearly imperceptible - I know they are there but my husband couldn't tell so if anyone else is running into this problem I hope a re-dye attempt will work for you. The darker areas of the shirts did not get darker but the lighter areas seemed to catch up to them. Good luck:)
