This is dyeable untreated nylon! No finishes, no oily stuff like you find on a lot of nylon. It is also known as PFP or "prepared for printing" nylon, as you can silk screen on it. It's perfect for banners, flags, or just waving in the wind. Lightweight and stronger outdoors than natural fibers. Dyes beautifully with our Acid Dyes...also great for painting, stenciling, or silkscreening with fabric paints.
Not recommended for clothing or accessories.

- 100% Nylon
- 1.9 oz./ sq. yard, 58 inches wide - IMPORTANT - use Fire Retardant on lightweight fabrics (less than 2.6 oz/sq yd) when using for drapery, public installations or any kind of decorations! Not recommended for clothing except as linings or undergarments.
- You can dye this with our Acid Dyes
- Suggested usage; banners, outdoor hangings, wind socks and kites, booth draperies, as a lining fabric etc. Only when treated with a Fire Retardant.
- We found that this shrinks 3% in Length and 3% in Width disclaimer
- Available in cut yardage (bulk discounts levels at 10 yards) and in 55 yard bolts
- Machine wash in any temperature water
Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

This stuff is perfect for banners and the like. I cut it lengthwise in thirds to make three 20" wide panels and stenciled a repeating pattern on them. I'm going to put them in front of an undecorated muslin sheet "wall" for my campsite at a festival. They fold basically flat they take a stencil well (use a foam or sponge dabber and be sparing with the paint there's no soaking up of paint with this fabric) and they dry in about thirty seconds from being soaking wet. (The stencils were also totally set up and dry within about half an hour. Also-- stencils were just as clear on the reverse as on the front. Whatever you put on this just goes straight through.) Perfect for quick setup and takedown and easy portability. As far as dyeing though-- I dyed two small squares of this a rayon scarf and a sik hanky in emerald green iDye and got emerald green on the scarf lime green on the hanky and bright lemon yellow on the nylon. Doesn't take dye true!! But takes it evenly quickly and thoroughly-- so just test before you commit! I don't mind yellow but it's a darn good thing I didn't have my heart set on green. :)

i would give this fabric 20 stars! i am allergic to fabric finishes or residual manufacturing chemicals---whatever something in cloth which does not wash out. happily i found this nylon cloth which is wearable against my skin with no allergic response. i use it to make "liners" to wear under my clothing. i haven't tried dying it figure i am probably allergic to dye. fabric is nearly see through as is. next i am going to sew a caftan with doubled cloth to wear in public! kudos to Dharma for supplying this. cloth.

purchased this fabric to make appliques for the 4 x 6 nylon flag purchased at the same time...it would help to identify the denier of this fabric & flag--it is very lightweight...had to use acid dyes for the colors and that required steaming (a real learning curve for me as my experience was limited to the fail-proof procion fiber reactive dyes)...nylon takes colors differently so required many experiments...the dye process created wrinkles that I could not remove--a real problem...still working on flag but it will only serve as a trial...will purchase 200 denier for the final product

I feally like the nylon as an alternative to silk for banners. I usually use silk but needed a stronger fabric for a high wind area. It handles the dyepaint just as well just can't use the no flow on it. guttas work fine though.

This was a wonderful fabric for use in my nuno felting projects - I used as outer layer for working the wool fibers together and it did a good job of holding wool design and fibers in place during the wet felting process.
