Our lightweight Cotton Lawn dyes up beautifully with our Fiber Reactive dyes. This fabrication becomes more opaque after dyeing. Cotton Lawn has a tighter weave than our Cotton Voile (#CVS55).
Not recommended for clothing or accessories worn on the body.
Fabric Details
- 100% cotton, optically whitened
- 2.17 oz per square yard, 56/57" wide. IMPORTANT - use Fire Retardant on lightweight fabrics (less than 2.6 oz/sq yd) when using as is for drapery, public installations or any kind of decorations! Not recommended for clothing except as linings or undergarments.
- Thread count is 90 threads per inch x 88 threads per inch
- You can dye this with our Fiber Reactive Dyes
- Suggested uses; underlining sandwiched under fashion fabric during clothing construction to create body and shape, etc.
- We found that this shrinks 1% in Length and 3% in Width disclaimer
- Available in cut yardage (bulk discounts levels at 10+ yds.) and in 40 yard bolts
- Machine wash in any temperature water
Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

Excellent quality the weave is very fine and tight. Far nicer than a standard muslin you might buy at the local big box fabric store but for about the same price! Its more crisp than I expected though perhaps it will be softer after washing. I bought it for a Victorian chemise but I could see it making a lovely petticoat. For undergarments Dharmas lawns and voiles cant be beat. Now if they would only stock cotton organdy...

This is totally awesome fabric for nuno-felting. Fibers migrate through like butter. So easy. The major advantage over this as opposed to gauze is that it's stiffer and provides a nice structure. I've used it to make a purse and a coat. Both turned out wonderfully

Absolutely beautiful fabric! After I purchased the fabric my friend made a beautiful dress with the fabric and the Dharma Fiber Reactive Procion Dyes it's beautiful and I would buy this for anything flowy

This fabric met my expectations in every way EXCEPT that the color upon receipt was distinctly lavenderlight purple. Not the bright white I expected I may try bleach. A good dense weave and seems sturdy for lawn which is hard to find anyway. The fabric stores have quit carrying this wonderful utility fabric.

Oh my gosh. Love this. Super light weight soft not too sheer. Sews and irons sooo perfectly. Crisp creases. Bright clean white.
