This 100% Cotton Muslin is very similar to our Premier Muslin which is currently having supply chain issues. Luckily, we found an unbleached midweight muslin to hold us over at a great price.
Fabric Details
- 100% Cotton, natural
- 3.3 oz per square yard, 59" wide
- Thread count is 68 threads per inch x 68 threads per inch
- You can dye this with our Fiber Reactive Dyes
- Suggested uses; undergarments, petticoats and peasant shirtings for Renaissance Faire costumes, curtain lining material, casual summer garments for adults: shirts, dresses and skirts. Making test garments.
- We found that this shrinks 4% in Length and 1% in Width disclaimer
- Available in cut yardage (bulk discounts levels at 10+ yds.) and in 50 yard bolts
- Machine wash in any temperature water
Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

This muslin is great! I use a lot of this type of fabric for various things including test garments. It is a good weight and the shrinkage is minimal. I will be buying more.

This muslin is of a good quality and price for making toiles. Unfortunately the way this bolt got wrapped onto the tube left some intense creasing and pulled the fabric weirdly off grain. (Instead of the grain being diagonally skewed across the width of the fabric it's like the center of the fabric got pulled on so the weftwise grain ended up in a U shape.) The skewness and wrinkles are both fixable with a thorough ironing but it's a little annoying that that step is absolutely necessary before I can get on with making the mockup. Still pleased overall with the purchase.

This muslin is of a good weight and quality for making mock-uptoile garments. I love having a full 50-yard roll in my closet so that I can make mock-ups whenever inspiration strikes without needing to wait to get supplies and the relatively low price helps me feel free to make as many mock-ups as needed without feeling like I'm wasting loads of money. It's taken me about 2 years to get through my first bolt and I'm going to be buying exactly the same one again! If you can afford the up-front cost and you're a home garment sewist I definitely recommend buying a full bolt of this muslin.
