Use this liquid fixative instead of steaming to set your Jacquard Silk Colors. Can also be used with Sennelier Tinfix Design Colors. Will not provide the super saturated colors that you get with steam setting. Using fixative is way faster, way easier, but know that steam setting does produce superior results.
Add about 2 Tablespoons (1 ounce) of concentrate per Gallon of COLD tap water. Prepare about 3 Quarts per 45" square of fabric. Immerse the fabric in the fixative bath and stir for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, then rinse fabric in container with liquid soap and COLD running water.
If you have an older bottle of Dyeset Concentrate will say to immerse and stir for 5 minutes. This is due to a change in formula Jacquard set in place late in 2015. Follow the directions on the label and you can't go wrong!
