Hard to find dyeable long johns! These are now made with 100% ringspun cotton. Older stocks were made with 100% rib knit cotton and stock may be mixed. The weight of the fabric is the same but now feel softer than before. These are not sewn with cotton thread. Cut really big to allow for shrinkage on first wash. 7 button front, 1 button rear flap (can be sewn closed to eliminate drafts).
A note about Union Suit sizing: This garment is designed to fit SNUGLY after washing and shrinking. Please note: The measurements listed are BEFORE shrinkage.
*These Union Suits have a shrinkage rate that varies from batch to batch, but here's what we're seeing. The length shrinks about 16% and the chest shrinks about 12%.

So After fixing the two holes and sewing on all the buttons securely I go to tag the suit with washing instructions and the first button breaks in half. I have to spend more time sewing on buttons than I spend dyeing the darn thing. I dont want to even give this item away as a gift. I did though and of course my 5 10 skinny niece comments on how narrow the legs are on these. Shes right! The legs are more narrow than the arm sleeves. The whole experience was strange and disappointing.

These have been a huge hit with my customers for years however the last 2 years they have gone done in quality quite a bit. They are being made out of thinner material and shrink more so they fit smaller than previously. Also the buttons come off constantly. It is very frustrating. We did learn to put a dab of clear nail polish over each stitch on each button before dyeing and this will keep the buttons on. But boy is it a hassle. Wish they would strive for better quality.

Great dye really well comfy warm. My boyfriend is really tall so it's great that they run log - legs AND arms. I'm short but I don't mind the bunching either - we don't wear them under clothes though. The gap below the bottom button on the front opens when you sit down but I'll just put a snap button there. No problems with the back flap (it's cute!). They're just so cool!!

These dye really well and the colors come out fantastic. The sizing and quality leave a lot to be desired. The first pair ended up with small holes after washing (weak spot in the fabric) and the second pair shrunk up really odd through the torso.

These take dye very well though the stitching is polyester so it stays white - makes a nice accent with the white buttons.The buttons are not sewn on well just a little pull at a loose thread and they fall right off. I've been re-sewing all of the buttons before I sell these just to be sure of them. Other than that they're a unique and fun item.
