Long with a wavy, open crimp the Masham is a cross between a Teeswater ram and either a Dalesbred or Swaledale ewe and is bred for its hardiness. Being a robust longwool the Masham is good for outerwear, rug making and other durable textiles. Works well for needle felting, wet felting and doll making. Best spun with only a slight twist as too much will result in a very coarse yarn.
