Some serious hiking socks!!! Dharma Trading has an employee who does some intense mountain backpacking several times a year. We got a sample of these socks for him to try. He said "I will destroy these socks!" After wearing them in the mountains for 5 days straight, he not only did not destroy them, they still looked new (after washing, of course!) These hemp hiker socks are thick, warm, comfortable, sweat and odor absorbing, antimicrobial (natural qualities of hemp), and dye up nicely. The Spandex keeps them from losing their shape or sliding down your leg, but is all on the inside, so really doesn't show when the sock is dyed. 51%Hemp/38% Organic Cotton/11%Spandex. Real hemp fibers, NOT Rayon made from hemp, which loses all the natural properties of hemp, and what you will find most advertised hemp really is. A nice alternative for folks who want a quality performance sock that is not entirely made of synthetic oil derivatives.

Love these. they are softer with washings. Stretch longer and wider than they look--the size 11-13 fit a size 13 very comfortably. Durable-yet soft.

These socks took Procion dye well and are wonderfully thick--the thickness of good old fashioned ragg wool socks so definitely appealing to a hiker or backpacker as well as perfectly presentable for every day wear too. I do want to point out that the elastic in the ankles is very strong almost to the level of diabetic compression socks through the ankles. Overweight people or people with edema may find the ankles too tight for comfort.

all day and they are super comfy. Will you carry them in smaller sizes? would love them in womens 7-9.

I couldnt be more impressed with these socks! Comfortable well-fitting cushiony sock that both my husband and I love. Thank you Dharma! Be prepared to send me more of these.
