Cotton Lycra Masks

While not as effective as a 2 or 3 layer cloth mask with a filter insert or an N95 mask, these are certainly better than the simple single layer t-shirt masks out there that we have seen a lot of folks wearing, and don't have the gapping you get with a bandana, which are not very effective either. Made from the same 6.5 oz 92% Cotton/8% Spandex as our yoga pants, they are thicker and stretchier than a t-shirt mask. They are not sewn, just cut out, and they do shrink and curl when dyed and washed, but they are easy to use and cover your face well. The guy who makes our yoga pants and some of our other Cotton/Spandex wear is now making these full time for many of the essential workers in NYC, including FedEx drivers and many others. Washing in a Hot water wash with your normal detergent has been proven to kill any virus, and these masks can be washed over and over without fraying.

These dye up beautifully, so you can set a mask fashion trend in your neighborhood. Dharma and the guy making these for us are selling them for only enough to cover the cost of the fabric.
