These tie-dyed really well even though they're too thick to do any intricate patterns. They soak up a LOT of dye and spread it around--next time I think I'll used thickened dyes on them.

Quilting has weird quality issues. Mine are quilted with a mix of threads - some lines are cotton (or at least they took dye) some are poly (or at least they did not take dye) and some are cotton and poly next to each other. Most of the poly threads came loose in the first wash.Dyes beautifully seems functional and I can't complain too much at this price.

I would not recommend these. They are too thin to use as hotpads and poorly made. The stitching is uneven and missing in some spots in the quilted area. They look and feel cheap. I had to send one back as it was so poorly stitched. I hope Dharma pulls these and discontinues selling them as I feel that the quality is well below their standards. They do take dye well though. I practiced HWI on them and at least the dye looks nice but they are too poor of quality to use display sell or gift.

They took dye well but there are too thin to offer much heat protection and the stitching on the quilting came apart some before dyeing many after dyeing.
