This is a great single-action airbrushing kit for beginners.

Be sure to adjust air to 30 psi (if using an air compressor). If using Propel canned air, open the regulator all the way, then back it off 1/2 turn or so, and test on scrap fabric. You may need more or less air, depending on the effect you are looking for.

Be sure to thin paint to the appropriate consistency. You want it somewhere between water and whole milk, depending on what you are painting.

I clean the paint tube using a syringe. Fill it about 4/5 with water and 1/5 with air. The water clears the tube and the air clears out the water. (You may need to repeat several times to get it thoroughly clean.) This applies to water-based paints only.

For fancier designs, you will definitely want a double-action air brush (where you can adjust the air flow and the paint flow with a single button), but for most fabric painting jobs, this is a great airbrush! Highly recommended. Easy to use, easy to maintain.

After using this for a day, you will definitely want to buy extra paint cups and an air compressor.

If using metallic paints, make sure the particle size is smaller than the paint aperture. Large, glitter-type paints will clog the paint nozzle. Most metallic paints go through with no problem, however.
