Wildfoote is a classic. It's a strong sock yarn, but also smooth and soft, especially after the first washing. It's a real workhouse for sock knitters, designed to wear and wear. We suggest trying relatively blunt knitting needles, instead of super pointed ones, for care-free knitting.

This is a working class sock yarn. It's not fancy or super soft or lux. It's rough around the edges tough as nails on a budget and has one purpose: SOCKS! But what it does it does very very well. Washer dryer hot cold- this yarn doesn't care it wants to be socks and nothing will get in the way of that- no felting or distorting here! I wouldn't use it for anything other than socks but the socks I have made show no sign of wearing out despite being worn regularly in work boots for extended periods of time on my feet. Love the functionality of this yarn- but if you're looking for the "luxury" I might suggest popping over to the "happy feet" listing.

I dont really love the feel or quality of this yarn. It seems quite thick for fingering and has a bit of tooth..
