A luxurious yet practical blend of 25.5 micron superfine alpaca and 25 micron Peruvian Highland Wool. Ultra Alpaca has a round, springy twist that adds definition to stitch patterns and cables. The finished fabric has a soft haze from the alpaca content, which only enhances stitch patterns.

  • 50% Super Fine Alpaca, 50% Peruvian Wool
  • Approximately 8 oz., 438 yd. 2 skeins
  • Approximately 20 sts per 4" on US 7-8 or 4.5 - 5mm
  • Dyes great with Acid Dye

Excellent yarn!  I love the slightly tighter twist which adds wonderful stitch definition.  It does need more natural dye to make the dark enough colors but I've been using this yarn for a couple years and recommend it.
