100% superfine alpaca, the finest grade available below baby alpaca. Superfine is more durable than baby alpaca, with longer fibers, and this plied version is less likely to shed in the finished garment. Alpaca takes color in a more muted way than wool. Expect soft, toned hues, and luxurious softness.

This yarn is easy to dye and takes the color well. Used two skeins of this with a periwinkle darker shade. Looks good to me and didn't see anything to match this in already dyed yarns. Those yarns come and are total darker than the photos. Nice to have some control on the color(s).
