Masham is a crossbreed popular in northern England. By breeding a long wool sheep with a hardier, heritage breed, they are able to produce sheep with nice, long staples that are easier to care for. Works well for needle felting, wet felting and doll making. Best spun with only a slight twist as too much will result in a very coarse yarn.
