Angelus Acrylic Leather Paints are brilliant and opaque in color, and are to be used for decorating, staining, or edging smooth leather and vinyl articles. Ideal for painting special areas on western boots, belts, tennis shoes, purses, jackets, etc. The manufacture guarantees that Angelus Leather Paint, when dry, will not peel, crack, or rub-off. Waterbased for easy clean up.

To promote a higher gloss finish on some leathers, first apply Angelus Clear Acrylic Finisher, let dry, then apply paint.

This paint is the top of the line for artists who customize their leather sneakers, jackets and more. Angelus paints were recommended by the best, and after testing it we see why. Not only does this paint have great coverage, it looks beautiful and is extremely flexible for wearable art.

It makes sense for us to carry their amazing line of dyes and paints and after reading their story you'll see that, not only do they make great products, but they stand behind it! To read more about their journey and why we've grown to love them so much click here!

Directions: Apply with a fine paint brush or sponge pad. Allow to dry between coats. Acrylic Leather Paint may be applied with a spray gun or airbrush. For best results, make sure article is clean before application. allow to dry completely before wearing. Clean up equipment with soap and warm water. For higher gloss and scruff protection, apply a coat of Angelus Finisher. Angelus Acrylic Leather Paint colors may be mixed to obtain different colors. if thinning is necessary water may be used in small amounts but it is best to thin or lighten a shade by adding Neutral Acrylic Leather Paint. It is always best to apply two or more thin coats instead of one heavy coat. This paint has great coverage, so a little goes a long way.

Caution: Some leather articles have a silicone finish applied at the factory, it may be necessary to clean these items with Angelus Leather Preparer and Deglazer. Silicone treated articles may cause Angelus Leather Paint to not adhere correctly to article. When properly applied, Angelus Leather Paint will provide a flexible, permanent, water resistant finish. Best results when paint is left to dry 24 hours in between coats.

I ordered a selection of blues "silver" and white. I was surprised by the little brush in the cap. I like the consistency of the paint. It's easily thinned with a dot of water. The only thing I would give a heads up about is that "SILVER" is not really silver grey one would be used to seeing. It's more of a pearl and is translucent. If you want grey silver get the light grey too but expect that the metalic sheen to be slightly multicolored (pearl) I've read here where gold is also translucent and requires an undercoat of mustard yellow. Overall I'm happy with this paint and will buy again.

Just rehabbed a favorite leather purse that was in good shape but looked tatty from the color fading. Pretty darned good results...be sure to use the finishing wax.

We've been using this paint for more than two years on wallets key fobs and clutch purses all items that are handled a LOT. The paint holds up nicely the colors stay bright even as the leather wears or changes color depending on how it was tanned. (We test paint a leather before committing a lot of effort to it. The paint does not hold on oily leathers!) I'm glad DT is carrying Angelus Leather products now. Great decision!

Angelus Leather Paints are the BEST! When applied correctly this paint won't peel or crack or feel tacky. The colors are brilliant and easy to mix for custom colors. I'm a professional costume designer and crafts artisan and I paint a lot of shoes and other leather garments. I'm so excited that my one of my favorite vendors is now selling my one of my favorite products!
