Artist Bio / Statement

My name is Cassi Washburn, and I am a stay at home mom to my real life Prince Charming, a 3 year old son. I have been tie dying as long as I can remember. My mom really taught me to be a creative person--always hosting tie dye parties, and thinking of fun ways for us to get involved in artsy things! I started making my famous Mickey Mouse tie dyes about 5 years ago for a trip to Walt Disney World. We loved the responses we got from our shirts- everyone loved that we matched, and everyone loved our super bright colors! I find so much joy in making custom shirts for families going on vacation, and it makes my day to see pictures of them having fun as a family when they get back. Thanks to Dharma Trading's Fiber Reactive Dye, I am able to get long lasting, bold, bright, and beautiful colors.
