I recently formed my new company Baby Bon Bons, and I am custom designing sweet accessories for babies and toddlers. I
embellish many of my painted designs with embroidery, vintage
lace and trims, and interesting fabrics. I began with the onesies as I was looking into a dye sublimation process, and found the blended
onesies and decided to see if the
Dye-Na-Flow would work -- it worked perfectly. I use a lot of water so that I can achieve a watercolor look. I have always loved painting and crafting, and I think I finally found a wonderful way to combine my interests in both sewing and painting. I mostly use Dye-Na-Flow. I hand paint on a blend of Polyester/cotton onesies, and also on polyester charmeuse fabric for my blankets and pillows,
dresses, and
jackets. I use a
resist to draw my original designs. The Dye-Na-Flow works beautifully on these textures. Before working on this I designed hand bags with and used wool from our farm in Minnesota, which was dyed and blended with mohair and
silks.
One of my goals is to finite my designs and ideas for the baby blankets. I think these are unique to the market and have a very silky feel and hand. I use a very plush backing for the little blankets. They are approximately 26x26 inches once finished. I am working on beautiful flower designs for spring. Perhaps I will also work on Mommy Bon Bons blankets. They are so soft! I have a little shop at present on a very interesting site
www.babybonbons.etsy.com, where I sell my designs. I am also working on a web site that will be
www.babybonbons.com. I also design pillows, little handbags, and beautiful little jackets and dresses that are hand painted. At present, I am working on my marketing and how to get these designs out into the marketplace. I am also working on getting into art shows in the Miami / Ft. Lauderale area. I live in the Miami Beach area. I will send you pictures of my work. Please visit my Etsy site to see my other works. I am adding very often. Thanks again.
