If you're a serious fiber artist getting the samples is a great investment. The samples themselves are wide enough squares to get a "feel" for the fabric and it's drape etc. All pieces are clearly labeled with a nice description of the type of fabric it is and hints about appropriate coloring options are also suggested. The only thing missing is the price per yard but I know that's because prices change and it makes sense Dharma would not want to redo prices over and over on samples. Product id number is included so you can easily locate prices per yard in the catalog. Love it highly recommend it.

It is nice to be able to feel the fabrics before purchase which is hard to do online so this is a perfect substitute. This way too I can put a needle through them to see if they are hand-sew friendly.

The swatches were all labeled and packaged neatly. The size of the swatches isn't too small I thought they might be but they are just perfect. The only complaint I have is that not all of the fabrics are in the "Complete" Sample Pack. I don't know how many are not included (other than the colored silks) but I know there wasn't a silk knit sample included in mine which is a bit disappointing because I was excited for that one in particular as I was considering it for a project. Other than that I'm pleased with many of the fabrics that were included in my sample pack and am excited to order yardage.

Makes it much easier to choose fabric when all the samples are in front of me than if I have a few samples and try to guess what the similar ones might look like!
