Crown Colony 2-Ply Yarn

Good product for wall hangings rugs and applique. I dyed it with oak leaves and gauls with no prior mordanting and the color was awesome. I took a small sample and tried to over dye it with black beans but it did'nt take any of the color which I'm sure is due largely to the oak as it is a very strong natural dye ad well as a great mordant on cotton.i have one more skein and the the season is almost over I'm going up to try a alum mordant with goldenrod dye bath then try to get green by using the black bean cold dye bath. The only reason I didn't gove it a 5 is because it felt easier than 4 ply wool but that can be controlled with gentle handling. Faye
