Alum Instructions

GENERAL INFORMATION AND USE

Alum is used in the fabric marbling processes as a pre-mordant and an after bath.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Dissolve 6-9 Tbsp. alum into 1 gallon of water to make a solution.

ADDITIONAL USES:

Also used in natural dyeing.

DHARMA COMMENTS:

ALERT: Careful not to leave on the fabric too long or get hot as that combination can damage the fabric.
