This textured linen fabric has random selvedge-to-selvedge slub lines make this linen eye-catching. Great for natural dyes. Medium weight.

Fabric Details

  • 60% Linen 40% Cotton
  • 6.6 oz per square yard, 55" wide
  • You can dye this with our Fiber Reactive Dyes
  • Suggested usage; works for garments and home decor.
  • We found that it shrinks about 4% in Length and 2% in Width disclaimer
  • Available in cut yardage 
  • Machine wash in any temperature water

I was expecting this to be similar to the Essex cottonlinen but it isn't at all. It is much closer to canvas in feel. Washing with synthrapol and machine drying made it softer (because of the sizing) but I would say this is more appropriate for upholstery home goods and bags unless you would like a very firm support for garments or a very stiff jacket. I will be using this as an interlining layer for strapless dresses and corsets instead of more expensive coutil. Overall I'm quite happy with it*
