Carl E. McClellan
Hello and welcome to www.MrTieDye.com I started creating with tie-dye eight years ago to add something new to my store called 'Indigo Child' in Pendleton, OR. I purchased the large group starter kit from Dharma Trading Co. and went crazy with colors and patterns. I now purchase all of my Procion dyes, synthrapol, soda ash, bleach stopper, salt, rubber bands, bottles and most of my clothing blanks like dresses, skirts, bandanas, union suits, baby booties, etc. from Dharma Trading Co. I have expanded the number of procion dye colors I keep on hand and continue to try new colors and fabrics.
My business has grown quite a bit since then, and I changed my name to MrTieDye after working with a group of second graders who could not pronounce my last name, all day they just called me "Mr. TieDye", sounded like a name for my business if I ever heard one.
I now live and dye in Salem, OR, I sell at the Salem Saturday Market www.salemsaturdaymarket.com and have my T-shirts in 3 stores, Kokopelli's in Salem, the DownTown Waterloo Store in Waterloo and Bohemian Boutique in Pendleton, OR http://www.bohemianboutique.net/ so stop by and see my work.
I also have an eBay storehere: http://stores.ebay.com/MrTieDye65?refid=store or you can get to it through my web site www.MrTieDye.com You can email me at Carl@MrTieDye.com for custom orders.
To see more of my work you can go to my Picasa album at: http://picasaweb.google.com/MrTieDye.com/MrTieDyeSNewTieDyes
or if you are a MySpacer, you can view my album here: myspace album
I love working with tie-dye and seeing what kind of new patterns or color combinations I can come up with. I continue to see my work grow and evolve and I love to have someone challenge me with a new design and live by my motto "I will Dye for You" so if you have a custom order just drop me a note and I will create for you. My brain seems to always be working on a new pattern I can create or one I can fold better.
I continue to work with more students in Schools and Art camps, and I love to do home parties as tie-dye is fun for all ages. It is a great joy to share what I do with others and watch the look on a students face when they mix primary colors to create purple, green and orange.
Peace to All!!
